The Kataya.com Inc. (President, Mr. Yuji Takagi. Komaigi, Ota, Gunma) manages stamping die business between car manufacturers and stamping die manufacturers, using their internet system.
They get inquiry/order for small to medium stamping dies for automotive, from North America andEurope, and then give an inquiry/order to die manufacturer in Asia, mainly to Korea and Taiwan.“Complicated or high-strength dies, I would say, can be ordered only to domestic die makers for their better skill level compared to oversea die makers” says Mr. Takagi.
To achieve high-quality product, Kataya orders process, design and proto-type to local makers, then to overseas from casting to die production.
They started to sub-contract of bench workers from October, 2004, as one of their new business; they search for high-skilled bench workers in Korea where it is easier to get visa, and send them to local die makers to support die production. They are going to put this on a firm, as one of their main business even though it is not that simple to manage and hold these workers because of the limitation of working term.
Mr. Takagi analyzes, “Asian die makers have enough machines and equipments in their plant, however, they are lack of high-skilled workers. Die production can not be done without manpower itself.”
“We would like to show our customer our original strategy and characteristic which will lead them to their understandings and satisfactions.” added Mr. Takagi.

인터넷으로 금형 제작 중개-구미로부터 주문 받아 아시아로 생산

 더 가타야 닷 컴은 인터넷을 통해서 세계의 자동차 메이커와 금형제조 업자의 중개를 돕고 있다.
수주처는 북미,유럽이 중심.소형,중형의 자동차 금형을 주문 받고 주로 한국이나 대만등 아시아권의 업자에게 주문을 내주고있다.
「고강도 강판용의 금형이나 특히 어려운 것은 국내 업자 밖에는 할 수 없지만 일반적인 것은 일본의 업자가 아니어도할 수있다」고 말한다.
 단 고품질의 금형제작이 이뤄지기 때문에 공정설정,설계,시제품은 국내 업자에게 맡기고 주물제작 이후의 공정을 아시아권의업자에게 발주하고 있다.
 또 새로운 구상으로 04년 10월 부터 직접 금형제작을 하청받는 사업을 개시했다.주로 비자 취득이 용이한 한국으로부터 유능한 기능을 갖고 있는 인재를 확보해 외주에 내는 형식이다.작업장소는 수주처의 공장 등을 빌려서 한다.
 취업기간이 한정되어있기 때문에 인재확보가 어렵지만 금형중개업무와 같은 규모로 사업의 줄기를 육성해 나갈 방침이다.
 다카기 사장은 아시아의 금형업자에 대해서 「가공기계라든지 설비는 충실하다.그러나 금형 제작은 최종적으로 인간의 손을 거치게 되는 법.우수한 인재가 부족하다.」고 분석.앞으로의 방침에 대해서는   「독자의 색을 내세워 우리 회사가 아니면 안되는일,손님이 납득할 수 있는 일을 모색해 나가고 싶다」고 말하고 있다.
