Mr. Yuji Takagi, precident and CEO of THE KATAYA DOT COM INC., introduced
supportive design software called 'OmniCAD' that essentially targeted the
press stamping parts manufacturers.
This software will maintain high accuracy wehen modify foem of stamping
die by incrporating reresult of spromg back simulation analysis.
Price is nine milion yen included all functions.
They aim to make 16 contracts for the first year targeted aotumobile industry.
The KATAYA Dot Com Inc. made contract with OmniCAD in Italy as a distributor
in Japan. OmniCAD is specialized in modeling surface of draw die during
design phase and is introduced to Fiat, VW as well as BMW. Some plastic
mold manufacturers and even some medical orthopedics had introduced OmniCAD
as one of their wquipment because of high advantage of surface modeling
system.
It has been a problem that when the simulation result by CAE is incorporated
into surface of the die, it marks the quality worse by making uneven surface.
However, OmniCAD has been accuracy throughout this process. The module
can hold up wrinkle by aotomatically. The KATAYA Dot Com Inc. deals with
customer in overseas in order to receive as order for the press stamping
dies.
In the current long term economic recession in stamping die industry. They
expect this new opportunity to be as one of their new source profit.
